DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION YET?
This is to make sure you're focused...

Nothing to do with the car but I thought someone may like it
OK..scroll down for the car.

ATTENTION: ALL POCKET ROCKETEERS....

First let me explain that I've always been a car guy... with some driftings toward Antique Autos but over the years, I've owned a few Barracuda's, 340 Dusters, and things that can get out of their own way!
I've had just about every hot vehicle that the car industry produced over the years. Dusters, Firebirds, an awesome Blazer 454, 350 Vettes, 400 Trans Ams, and even a Cosworth Vega that after blowing up, turned into a little 289/4BBL Vega Hatchback.
All great rides! Then as the "Age of Reason" descended on me and I started to obey the traffic signs, I got more onto restoring a "Muscle Car" for the fun and enjoyment of it! After finding this 1971 Mustang, things changed a little. I was never a big Ford Fan. Now, I have nothing against Fords,  it's just that I'm  not experienced  with them and even in the world of those ugly little "Pocket Rockets" made by Mitsu-sushi (barf..whatever) I'm still a "MUSCLE CAR" freak, whether it be Ford,Chevy or Mopars.
Hell!..ANYONE can drive a HONDA, even my Grandma!

Funny: When you're young you want Everything but don't have the money! When you get older, you can afford all the toys, you're just too tired to play with them all! LOL

So, If you're like me and don't give a hoot for gas Prices,or just drive to enjoy the feel of the car and the ride..
"Get Some Muscle"

While searching for a Muscle Car to play with, I learned a few things of importance about Fords! First: There's the "I only want a Mach1" crew. Then there's the "Fox Body" bunch and the ever present "Saleen" people who think thats the best!
Well, those are all prime rides I guess, but for me..the Classic Muscle Car has all the glamor and charm! Some earlier cars are very special, like the Olds 442, T birds, Roadrunners, AMX's, Chevelles, etc....they all have a certain flair that can't be found in newer cars at all!

It's the old ones that still reign!

When I spotted this "Mustang" I knew we would spend some time together! BTW: This IS the largest Stang made to date!

A 460HO Coupe, with all the goodies needed. After the work started on the motor and about $14,500 later, this is where I am so far and there's more that could be done down the road!

Now some people will tell you that you need a 428CJ or larger to have this much fun! Not true by any means! This is one fast ride and covers just about anything I may want or need, but the smaller blocks are right up there with the Big Boys!

To some, the "track times turned" are the big thing! To others, the "Dyno" tests are the rage. Just to prove a point that (Newer is not necessarily Faster) the "Mustang" in many ways is still King of the Road and this one's no Slouch in the speed dept. at all!  This one just idles funny..lol

Sure.. there's certainly "Newer" but none have the edge on FUN like this one! Trust me. This one's a "Head Turner" for sure and if you like to see people wave or nod their approval as you rumble by.. this is the car!

'Green Machine' in the driveway-after a Test Cruise. For her birthday (soon to be 32) I think I'll get her a Volkswagon with candles LOL

Now a documented.. bored .60 over BB,  it has Hyper-race pistons (FM244 sil-alum alloy),  B&M alum roller rockers, Polished Billet valve covers,Crane cam, Edelbrock "Performer" alum intake, ported and polished, HD balanced Eagle Crank, Eagle H beam Rods, Holley CMF DP with 'direct 200-NOS', Moroso max  7 qt. cap oil pan, reinforced HD time chain, shaved, Polished W 351 4V Heads w/ Fel-Pro copper gaskets, Hooker 'shorty' Headers, SS bolts throughout, Hurst 4-speed toploader trans, McLeod 'Mag Force' clutch and flywheel, balanced driveshaft, 4.11 Posi rear. It exhales through custom SS exhaust duals "H" pattern 3.5" OD, Flowmaster muffs with 3.5" Monza straight Style, Pacesetter Exh. Tips 3.5" ID, sits up on Lakewood traction bars with new front shocks,  Adj. air Shocks (rear), Cragar SS 15" wheels, new Interceptor tires all around. Fuel is from a 20-gallon Kevlar "Wisco" fuel cell in the trunk, 20 lb NOS trunk mounted tank, new brakes,  fin-cooled drums, new oversized radiator, HC water pump, new hoses, Chrome 1/2" Fuel rail w/ inline gauge, HD Fuel Pump, Mogul bearings, complete new parking brake Ratchet, SS cables, clips and parts, new Batt and Wiper assy. Next thing is to add a Mini-spare where the old gas tank was located underneath.

The car officially has 3980 miles with the orig VIN sheet, owners/maintenance manuals. and has absolutely NO Bondo or repairs to the body,  nor rust of any sort, it's all solid metal with just a few small surface scratches and some 'touch-up' will fix the original paint nicely. About the last thing to do is install a new Headliner. There's NO rust under at all, the frame is sound and solid, which may be due to the fact that the car has always been garaged / with no rain or snow!

Below the pic is dark but shows the additions to the interior. Grant steering whl assey, Dial-in Tach, Hurst Top Loader 4 spd shifter. Custom gauges include Water Temp., Vacuum inches, Alt., Oil Pressure, Engine Fire control sys., choke and NOS controls.

All the Upholstery is EC, dash is perfect, seats show NO wear, Rugs EC, glass EC, etc. Just needs a Headliner (have that, w/ insulation). Only small crack that's noticable.. is in the rt. rear window knob plastic.

Some of the other accessories include a Grant custom steering assembly and wheel, hood locks, K&N 14" filter system, hot coil, new oversized radiator, custom scooped hood,  dial-in tach and a custom Fire Extinguisher sys. under the hood.
There's an Edelbrock alum 'Street Boss' intake installed,  B&M ( billet alum. ) valve covers, billet roller/rocker valve trains w/ keepers, solid lifters, sodium valves, all new gaskets, Vertex Mag with 8MM plug wires and a Starter heatshield.
I also added a new wiper system and a new SS parking brake assey. The car is basically " untouched" in the paint dept. There's a few tiny rock dings of course, but nothing serious and several companies make Touch-up paint using the orig VIN sheet seen here.
I also added a new battery "needed" and duel tipped spark plugs, and a few restoration decals (orig OEM).
The car has an HO air intake by K&N that works well, so I may just leave it. A new "Big daddy" Bug Catcher is about $550 so that will have to wait. Down below is a pic of the original 302, bored .030 over and painted Ford Blue to fake out the Track Officials..lol

Future Options - Maybe an Air Dam, a DG "Street Catcher" box, who knows?
By then, I may be flat broke and living in the street but there's always more "Goodies" to get!

Hey! Ya Gotta have Goodies!

Enjoy what you drive.. and if you happen to drive a Vintage Mustang, better yet! Happy Cruisin!

To all the people lost and all the survivors of the Attack on America, God Speed to the Real Heroes!

To: Bin Laden,
If I ever see you in the headlights..You're Crow food!  The only real description I can  give of you is that, I hope you read this and you definately resemble what emits from  the South end of a Horse, that's traveling North and remember, Hero's die out in the open, Cowards die in hiding!
